Overnight postpartum support to help your family rest, recover, and navigate the early nights with your newborn.

Hi! I’m Luisa. I’ve had the privilege of supporting more than 50 families during the first few months with a newborn. My focus is on helping families achieve their goals while getting the most rest possible overnight.

With medical school training, CNA courses, and nearly five years of hands-on experience, I provide family-centered overnight support, offering guidance for feeding, soothing, sleep routines, and newborn care. I draw on real-world experience to provide guidance that helps families navigate those early challenging months. My goal is to give parents confidence, support, and a few well-earned hours of rest during their postpartum journey.

About

What I Do:

As an overnight doula, I:

Offer a calm, reassuring presence so parents can sleep through the night.

Provide guidance tailored to each baby’s developmental stage, including soothing, feeding, and sleep strategies.

Share educational resources, practical tools, and professional referrals when needed.

Attend to small occasional courtesy tasks that help make the overnight experience smoother and more restful for the whole family.

The privilege of supporting families during the early weeks of parenthood doesn’t end when my overnight shift is over. Many families continue to reach out, and their words reflect the care, knowledge, calm, and dedication I bring to every night, and the ongoing guidance and friendship I’m proud to offer. Here’s what they’ve shared about their experiences:

"Luisa was such an amazing doula, and we felt genuinely lucky to work with her. She has such a peaceful and generous nature, and she took incredible care of both us and our son. She has a way of anticipating needs, and always came to our home with a sweet and positive disposition. She would often send us follow up information about our son's stages of development, and helped us to implement better soothing and feeding practices when he was colicky. We saw wonderful improvements when we took her advice. We always slept well when she worked for us overnight, and she brought genuine love into our home for our son and our pup. We hope to work with Luisa again, and I would recommend her without hesitation."

-Sam.

Luisa is a fantastic doula. She was always on time, very gentle with the baby, and very informative in teaching us how to take care of our baby. We hired her as a night time doula and we were able to get good rest every time she came to look over our baby at night. She patiently answered all of our questions and always gave us guidance on what our baby needed when she reached certain milestones. I highly recommend her services who need doula needs. - Kevin

Lu was a literal lifesaver. I was struggling really badly with postpartum depression and we finally caved and hired a doula. I wasn't sure what to expect. Lu stepped in and took care of everything at night. She cared for my baby like he was her own and always went above and beyond. I'd wake up to his little clothes being clean and folded, the bottles clean, and sometimes even the blankets in my living room folded. Truly amazing. She always seemed to know just what to say to help me feel more confident and grounded in my new role as a mother. Lu is a great addition to any family seeking out a doula -K&M.

Luisa helped me as my post-partum doula and I 100% recommend her. She is very patient, kind, caring, communicative and professional. I felt comfortable and safe leaving my little one at her care during the nights that she worked with me. Thank you Luisa! :) -Valerie.

“Luisa has been absolutely fantastic to work with over the past few months. She is always on time (often early) and the text book definition of professional. She takes great care of our baby girl and goes above any beyond with her attention to detail both during the night and with recap/communication after the fact. We felt safe and secure knowing Luisa was in our home taking care of our little one and would highly recommend her to anyone needing some extra help with a young child." -David.”

Luisa cared for our infant daughter overnight when our daughter was between 1-4 months of age. This is our first child, and I was so nervous about having someone else care for her (everything made me nervous!). But the moment Luisa came over for the first time and I saw her hold our daughter in her arms, I felt instantly calm. Luisa has such a calm demeanor and such a loving and respectful way of caring for and interacting with infants. I cannot recommend her enough!

I loved our experience with Luisa our doula. Having a baby during this crazy time makes for challenges but Luisa made every step of our journey as normal as possible. I’m so thankful she was part of our team for our babies birth. From beginning to end the process with Swedish was effortless! -Sarah Stankowski

“Luisa's support has been invaluable to our family. We greatly appreciated her exceptional care for our baby, which allowed us to get much-needed rest at night. Her friendly and kind nature made the entire experience comforting and reassuring. Luisa not only cared for our baby but also provided helpful suggestions and tips. Additionally, she voluntarily assisted with tasks we didn't request. I highly recommend Luisa for her outstanding dedication and support.”-WW

  • A: As an overnight doula, I support your family so you can rest and recover. While you sleep, I care for your baby between feedings: changing diapers, soothing, burping, and settling, while supporting feeding and sleep routines. I also share personalized tips and tools to help improve nighttime sleep, so you feel confident and supported even on the nights I’m not there..

  • A: I help parents feel confident by providing guidance and reassurance. I show you soothing techniques, help you understand your baby’s cues, and share simple routines and care tips you can use at home. I do help you feel informed, supported, and capable as you care for your baby.

  • A: I focus on the baby and the family’s rest, but sometimes I attend to small courtesy tasks that make the night smoother, such as tidying bottles, folding the baby’s clothes, or other small tasks to help the home feel organized.

  • A: I respect each family’s values and choices. My role is to support, educate, and guide.

  • A: Overnight shifts typically cover the hours parents need rest, usually ranging from bedtime to early morning, depending on your family’s needs.

  • I provide education and support based on best practices but do not replace a pediatrician, IBCLC, therapist or other licensed provider. I may suggest topics or questions to bring to your healthcare provider so you can get clear, professional guidance.

  • No. I provide gentle, developmentally appropriate sleep support and guidance and will be glad to provide referrals for sleep consultants.

  • A: If I observe something that may benefit from additional support, I may suggest connecting with trusted professionals such as a pediatrician, IBCLC, physical or occupational therapist, infant bodyworker, or postpartum mental health provider. Referrals are simply a way to offer families additional support and resources.

  • A: I provide responsive overnight care, but I do not remain awake for the entire shift. When the baby is sleeping safely for longer stretches, I rest so I can be present and attentive when the baby needs care.

  • A: My goal is always to leave you with a freshly diapered, comfortably settled baby at the end of the shift. I’ll ask that one parent be available at the scheduled end time so I can transition care smoothly before I leave. You’ll receive notes about the night including feeds, diapers, sleep, and any helpful observations by text or in tablet/app, depending on your preference.
